Long-standing conflict leads to official split between Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei

According to Bolasport.com, Chen Tang Jie has finally spoken about his separation from Toh Ee Wei — his mixed doubles partner whose situation has become a public discussion in Malaysia.

The conflict between the world’s fourth-ranked pair has persisted since their disappointment at the Paris Olympics — a situation that led to frequent disagreements even during training sessions and tournaments.

Nova Widianto, BAM’s mixed doubles Head Coach, along with Rexy Mainaky as Coaching Director — have approved the pair’s separation, though it remains unclear who initially requested the split.

Following this separation, BAM has established new formations — Chen Tang Jie will play mixed doubles with Chan Wen Tse and men’s doubles with Wong Vin Sean, while Toh Ee Wei will focus on mixed doubles partnering with Loo Bing Kun.
