Liverpool Win Title as England Sends 9 Teams to Europe

The 2024-25 Premier League has officially ended with Liverpool crowned champions and leading nine English clubs into European competitions next season. The final matchday on Sunday (May 25) featured intense battles for European qualification spots.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City finished third after a 2-0 win over Fulham. Meanwhile, Chelsea climbed to fourth place by defeating Nottingham Forest 1-0, followed by Newcastle United securing a top-five finish.

“It feels like a title,” said Guardiola, who experienced his first trophyless season since joining Manchester City in 2016.

UEFA awarded five Champions League spots to the Premier League thanks to the consistent performances of English clubs in European competitions.
