Liverpool Target Marc Guehi After £170m Spending Spree

Liverpool show no signs of slowing down their transfer activity after spending around £170 million — the club is now focusing on strengthening their defensive line.

Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace emerges as The Reds’ primary target for the center-back position. The 24-year-old defender brings Premier League and England national team experience — he has one year remaining on his Eagles contract.

Besides Guehi, Liverpool are also monitoring Ajax’s young defender Jorrel Hato. The 19-year-old can operate as both center-back and left-back, however Ajax are reluctant to let him leave this season.

Regarding the current squad, Darwin Núñez is likely to depart with Napoli showing strong interest. Meanwhile, young midfielder Harvey Elliott could also leave Anfield due to limited playing time — Brighton reportedly monitoring his situation.

“I don’t want to be wasting years of my career,” stated Elliott who only started twice in Premier League last season.
