According to ESPN, Liverpool are going through a difficult period after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Fulham — their third loss in four matches across all competitions.

Arne Slot and his team still maintain an 11-point lead in the Premier League, but the poor performance at Craven Cottage suggests that the title is not yet fully secured with seven games remaining.

“There is no reason for us to be complacent,” said Slot at the press conference. “We are not at the top because we win every game by three or four goals — we must keep fighting for the next seven games.”

Signs of fatigue are becoming evident in key players like Ryan Gravenberch, who has played over 2,600 minutes this season — double his previous season’s tally. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah is experiencing a goal drought in his last four matches.

Liverpool also face challenges in the upcoming summer transfer window:

  • Retaining Virgil van Dijk whose contract is expiring
  • Finding a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold who is rumored to join Real Madrid
  • Strengthening the left-back position with target Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth
  • Seeking a new striker to replace the inconsistent Darwin Núñez

Though still on course for the title, Liverpool must bounce back when hosting West Ham United this weekend to avoid a confidence crisis as the season draws to a close.
