Liverpool maintained their 12-point advantage at the Premier League summit with a 1-0 victory over Everton at Anfield, as reported by ESPN. Diogo Jota proved decisive with his winning goal in the second half.

The match was marked by controversy when Everton defender James Tarkowski escaped a red card after a dangerous tackle on Alexis Mac Allister. Beto found the net for Everton, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

David Moyes failed again to secure a victory at Anfield — extending his winless record to 22 matches at Liverpool’s home ground. However, this marks only Everton’s second league defeat since he replaced Sean Dyche about three months ago.

Everton’s loan signing Carlos Alcaraz impressed with his midfield control. Meanwhile, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk struggled to contain Beto’s attacking threats throughout the match.

Liverpool now needs 13 points from their remaining eight fixtures to secure this season’s Premier League title. This victory also ended The Reds’ two consecutive defeats before the international break.
