Liverpool Complete Signing of Young Striker Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt

Hugo Ekitike has officially joined Liverpool from Eintracht Frankfurt, as announced by both clubs in July 2025. The transfer is valued at £69 million with potential bonuses reaching £10 million.

The 23-year-old striker becomes Liverpool’s latest acquisition under Arne Slot — joining Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez who have already arrived at Anfield this summer.

Ekitike impressed in the Bundesliga last season with remarkable statistics:

Frankfurt’s sporting director, Markus Krösche, expressed his support through an official statement:

The French U-21 international will soon join Liverpool’s squad in Hong Kong for their Asian preseason tour. Frankfurt must pay 20% of the total transfer value to Paris Saint-Germain — the club that released Ekitike in February 2024.
