Liverpool Begin Negotiations with Frankfurt for Hugo Ekitike

Liverpool have opened discussions with Eintracht Frankfurt to acquire striker Hugo Ekitike — the Bundesliga club has set a price tag between 80 and 90 million euros for the French player.

The Reds are evaluating various options to strengthen their attacking line — this situation emerges amid uncertainty surrounding Darwin Núñez’s future. Yesterday, Liverpool also rejected a 67.5 million euro offer from Bayern Munich for Luis Díaz.

Before targeting Ekitike, Liverpool inquired about Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak — but didn’t submit a formal offer after receiving rejection. Manchester United is also interested in Ekitike, though the striker prefers a move to Anfield.

Ekitike impressed last season with Frankfurt, recording 22 goals and 12 assists across all competitions since joining from Paris Saint-Germain a year ago.
