Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning Win Indonesia Open 2025

China’s women’s doubles pair, Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning, secured the Indonesia Open 2025 title after defeating Malaysia’s representatives, Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan, at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

The world number one women’s doubles team claimed victory in a three-game battle with scores of 23-25, 21-12, 21-19.

This achievement marks Liu/Tan’s second title this year, following their triumph at the Malaysia Masters 2025. Their journey was previously halted in the semifinals of the Singapore Open 2025 by Japan’s pair, Rin Iwanaga/Kie Nakanishi.

“I’m very happy because this is our first Super 1000 title of the year. Over these three weeks, we’re also satisfied with our performance development,” said Tan.

“The key to victory is communication with my partner. When there’s a problem, we just need to put the shuttlecock in play. It’s a very simple process,” she added.

“We just support each other whenever we make mistakes,” explained Liu.
