Argentine journalist Esteban Edul revealed that Lionel Messi is considering leaving Inter Miami — a decision made in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

“Leo Messi and his family told me on Friday that he is considering playing somewhere else for six months leading up to the World Cup,” Edul stated via @AlbicelesteTalk.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is reportedly seeking a more competitive club — likely in Europe to sharpen his performance ahead of the quadrennial tournament.

Although previously reaching a contract agreement with Inter Miami, those plans are now on hold due to the Argentine megastar’s consideration to seek new challenges.
