According to ESPN, United States women’s national team midfielder Lily Yohannes is finalizing her transfer to French powerhouse — OL Lyonnes.

The eight-time European Champions League winners have reached a transfer agreement with Ajax for the 18-year-old player — who remains under contract with the Dutch club until June 2026.

Yohannes has an impressive international record — accumulating eight caps with the US team and scoring on her debut last year. Previously, she had considered representing the Netherlands before ultimately choosing the US last November.

Born in Virginia, Yohannes moved to the Netherlands at age 10 and joined Ajax at 15. She made history as the youngest player to ever appear in the UEFA Women’s Champions League when facing Paris Saint-Germain.

“She’s got unbelievable maturity and coachability. I know she’s going to become an important part of our program,” said USWNT head coach Emma Hayes.
