According to Bolasport.com, Chinese men’s doubles pair Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang had to fight hard to secure their quarterfinal ticket at the 2025 Asian Championships.

Playing at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center, the second-seeded pair managed to defeat Malaysian representatives Junaidi Arif/Roy King Yap with a score of 17-21, 21-14, 21-11.

The world’s third-ranked Chinese pair now awaits the winner between Indonesian representatives Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin, and Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae from South Korea.

In the opening game, both pairs engaged in an intense battle — though scores were briefly even, Arif/Yap, coached by Herry Iman Pierngadi, found their rhythm and claimed the first game.

This victory marks a significant step for Liang/Wang—who have been striving to regain their top form following a series of inconsistent performances post their silver medal achievement at the Paris Olympics.
