Liam Delap scores first goal for Chelsea in Club World Cup

Liam Delap marked a special moment with Chelsea during their final Group D match against ES Tunis in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup — the young English striker scored his first goal.

Delap’s goal came two minutes after Tosin Adarabioyo gave Chelsea the lead in first-half injury time.

The goal sequence started with Enzo Fernandez’s pass to Delap who was positioned with his back to goal — the Chelsea striker managed to turn past Yassine Meriah’s challenge before firing a shot past goalkeeper Bechir Ben Said.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca expressed his satisfaction seeing Delap finally open his scoring account after struggling to find the net in his previous two appearances.
