Lewis Hamilton Reveals Reasons for Delaying Formula 1 Movie Sequel

Lewis Hamilton shares his perspective on the possibility of a sequel to the recently released Formula 1 film. The Brad Pitt-starring movie has become Apple’s highest-grossing film with $144 million in global earnings during its opening weekend.

As co-producer and consultant, Hamilton collaborated with director Joe Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer during the shooting process that took place at various Grand Prix circuits over the past two years.

“We literally just finished it, so the last thing we want right now is a sequel,” Hamilton stated ahead of the British Grand Prix.

“Most sequels are way worse, so we don’t need to rush it. If we do a sequel, I would say let’s really, really take our time in getting it even better.”

Hamilton also shared an innovative idea for the film industry by proposing the implementation of a debrief system similar to what Formula 1 teams do after races — an approach to evaluate and improve film production performance.

The film features several cameos from F1 figures, including:

  • Zak Brown
  • Toto Wolff
  • Fred Vasseur
