Leo/Bagas Eliminated in First Round of Singapore Open 2025

Indonesian men’s doubles pair, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, exited early from the Singapore Open 2025, after a tough first-round defeat at the Singapore Indoor Arena.

Defeated by Thai Pair in Grueling Match

Facing Thailand’s experienced duo, Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh, Leo/Bagas lost in three tight games: 24-22, 19-21, 16-21 in this BWF World Tour Super 750 event.

“The Thai pair played very well, it was tough and they didn’t give up easily,” said Bagas Maulana as quoted by PBSI.
“In the third game, it’s unfortunate that despite taking the lead, we made too many unforced errors on easy shots.”

Unable to Maintain Momentum

Leo/Bagas had a slim advantage, leading 11-10 at the interval of the third game, but they couldn’t sustain the pressure. The All England 2024 finalists eventually succumbed to mounting errors and lost their rhythm in the crucial moments.
