Leo/Bagas Crash Out Early at 2025 Singapore Open

Indonesian men’s doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana suffered an early exit from the 2025 Singapore Open after a first-round defeat to Thai duo Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh on Tuesday (May 27).

Playing on Court 1 at Singapore Indoor Stadium, Leo/Bagas fell in a tight three-game battle lasting 1 hour and 10 minutes: 24-22, 19-21, 16-21.

Despite winning the opening game, the Indonesian pair couldn’t maintain their momentum and were eventually overpowered in the next two games.

This result reduces Indonesia’s representation in men’s doubles. Earlier, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto secured a straight-game victory over the Malaysian duo. Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani are set to play the Japanese pair tomorrow.
