Leo/Bagas Eliminated in First Round of Japan Open 2025

Indonesian men’s doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana suffered a defeat in the first round of Japan Open 2025 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan.

Facing Taiwanese pair Liu Kuang Heng/Yang Po Han, the Indonesian representatives had to acknowledge their opponents’ superiority with a score of 15-21, 19-21 in today’s match.

The match immediately showed the Taiwanese pair’s dominance — Yang Po Han displayed aggressive front court play that successfully disrupted Leo/Bagas’s game. A five-point consecutive lead early in the match put them ahead 6-1.

Although Leo/Bagas managed to reduce the deficit to 3-6, the Taiwanese pair demonstrated their prowess by widening the gap to 9-4 which eventually led them to victory.
