Leo/Bagas Advance to Asian Championships Quarter-Finals After Defeating Taiwan Pair

Indonesian men’s doubles pair, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Asian Championships at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center, China.

In the round of 16 match, Leo/Bagas — displaying convincing performance — defeated Taiwan’s representatives Lee Jhe Huei/Yang Po Hsuan with scores of 21-11, 19-21, 21-11.

In the opening game, the Indonesian pair immediately showed their dominance — securing victory with a 10-point advantage. Moving into the second game, the Taiwanese duo managed to take control by leading 11-7 at the interval.

Leo/Bagas managed to reduce the deficit to 9-11 after securing two consecutive points. Lee Jhe Huei’s error hitting the net brought the score closer to 10-11, but the Indonesian pair eventually had to concede the second game.
