Leclerc Reveals Concerns About 2026 F1 Car

Charles Leclerc has revealed concerning views about the 2026 Formula 1 car — the Ferrari driver admits his simulator experience has been less than satisfactory.

“It’s not the most enjoyable race car I’ve driven so far, but the project is still relatively new,” states Leclerc.

The Monégasque driver splits his simulator time equally between developing the 2025 car and the 2026 model — a period that will mark F1’s biggest regulation change in history.

Currently, Leclerc holds fifth place in the drivers’ standings with a 94-point gap behind leader Oscar Piastri, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton trails him by 25 points.

Despite challenges with the new car, Leclerc remains optimistic about collaboration with Hamilton — modern F1 technology allows for car adaptation to both drivers’ different driving styles.

“We have all the tools to adapt the car to my driving style or Lewis’s. I just want the fastest possible car for next year,” adds Leclerc.
