Layne Riggs claims dramatic victory at Pocono Raceway

Layne Riggs drove the Front Row Motorsports’ Ford No. 34 to victory at Pocono Raceway — finishing 3.6 seconds ahead of runner-up Tanner Gray. This marks Ford’s first victory at this track since Ryan Blaney accomplished it 12 years ago.

“This is a testament to our team’s capability. The car was incredibly fast, especially in that final run. I really regret that #11 had issues. I’m not sure what #7 was doing at the restart, but I made sure to capitalize on it,” said Riggs.

Drama unfolded when race leader Corey Heim suffered a flat tire before the restart — creating an opportunity for Hocevar to lead. However, Hocevar received a penalty for jumping the restart too early.

The final results placed:

  • Tanner Gray in second
  • Kaden Honeycutt third
  • Brandon Jones fourth
  • Daniel Hemric fifth

Hocevar had to settle for 13th position, while Heim, who led 48 of 80 laps, finished 24th. Actor Frankie Muniz secured his third top-20 finish this season by placing 19th.
