Indonesia’s last hope at Canada Open 2025 vanished after mixed doubles player Zachariah Josiahno Sumanti, partnering with Canadian shuttler Catherine Choi, failed to advance to the quarter-finals.

Playing at Markham Pan Am Centre, Ontario, this cross-nation partnership succumbed to fourth-seeded English pair Callum Hemming/Estelle Van Leeuwen with scores of 21-14, 10-21, 10-21.

Zachariah/Choi showed fierce resistance in the first game — but their performance declined significantly in the following two games. This defeat marks the end of Indonesia’s campaign in this BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament.
