Las Vegas GP Extends Formula 1 Contract until 2027

The Las Vegas Grand Prix has extended its contract with Formula 1 until 2027. The race, held on the iconic Las Vegas Strip streets, holds a unique position as it is directly managed by Formula One Management (FOM).

Emily Prazer, CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, confirmed that this two-year extension is a strategic move — although long-term plans could extend beyond that. The 2024 race recorded $934 million in revenue with total attendance reaching 306,000 people, of which 175,000 were from out of town.

“We’ve collectively agreed to a two-year extension for 2026 and 2027. We want to ensure that we continue to evolve what we’re doing,” said Prazer.

Steve Hill, president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, added — November, typically ranking eighth in city revenue, transformed into the highest-earning month thanks to the F1 event.

The race has transformed Las Vegas by utilizing famous landmarks such as the Bellagio fountains as backdrops — delivering unprecedented economic impact to the city.
