Lanny/Fadia Withdraw from 2025 China Open Due to Illness

According to an official release by PBSI, Indonesian women’s doubles pair Lanny Tria Mayasari and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti have officially withdrawn from the 2025 China Open — a BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament.

The withdrawal decision was made after Fadia was not cleared to compete by the medical team, following a decline in her health condition since the quarterfinal of the 2025 Japan Open.

Women’s doubles coach Karel Mainaky explained the athlete’s situation:

“Fadia told me she wasn’t feeling well on the morning before the quarterfinal match. But she still wanted to play. After that match, her condition worsened. She had a fever, headache, and sore throat.”

The coaching team consulted with the medical staff who had been monitoring Fadia’s condition before officially deciding to withdraw from the China Open 2025, prioritizing the athlete’s recovery.
