Lanny/Fadia stopped in Japan Open 2025 quarterfinals

Lanny Tria Mayasari and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti ended their journey at Japan Open 2025 after being defeated by Chinese pair Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

The world number 20 women’s doubles pair — had to acknowledge the superiority of the top seeds with a score of 21-10, 17-21, 16-21 in a match that lasted 66 minutes.

In the opening game, Lanny/Fadia performed surprisingly well with solid play — managing to dominate and lead 11-6 at the first interval.

However, the momentum shifted after the break — Liu/Tan began to show their quality with more precise and dangerous attacks.

This defeat also ends Indonesia’s hopes — as there are no more representatives from the Red and White remaining in the semifinals of this BWF Super 750 tournament.
