Lando Norris Shows Dominance in Austrian GP Qualifying

Lando Norris showcases remarkable performance in Austrian GP qualifying at Red Bull Ring — leading Charles Leclerc by 0.521 seconds to secure pole position.

The McLaren driver managed to set the fastest time in two flying laps, with his second attempt even quicker than the first.

“Nice to see the old me back every now and again. That was pretty damn beautiful,” Norris said over team radio.

While yellow flags in the final corner due to Pierre Gasly’s spin prevented Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri from improving their times, Norris’s achievement remains noteworthy.

This result marks a crucial turning point for Norris after struggling since his Melbourne victory early in the season. Following a collision incident with his teammate in Montreal few weeks ago, he underwent deep reflection and now appears more composed.

“This was my best qualifying of the year from a delivery point of view. I felt very confident and comfortable with the car — consistency is now the key,” added Norris.
