Lando Norris firmly rejects rivals’ comments about McLaren’s dominance ahead of the Japanese GP. The British driver dismisses these statements as “nonsense” and “random talk”.

McLaren — who recently secured their first constructors’ championship in 26 years — has shown impressive form with Norris winning in Australia and Oscar Piastri taking victory in China.

George Russell from Mercedes recently claimed McLaren holds a greater advantage than Red Bull’s previous dominance. Similar statements came from Ferrari through Fred Vasseur and Charles Leclerc.

“People saying we’re unbeatable — it’s just nonsense. They just like to talk crap sometimes,” stated Norris ahead of this weekend’s race.

While now being the hunted team, Norris emphasizes that McLaren is enjoying their new position as leaders — a remarkable achievement considering their previous status as one of the slower teams. He adds that Red Bull’s dominance last year was significantly greater than McLaren’s current advantage.
