Lando Norris claims dramatic victory at 2025 British GP

Lando Norris of McLaren team made history by winning the 2025 British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Silverstone Circuit — marking his first victory on home soil.

In a 52-lap race marked by heavy rain and five safety car periods, Norris managed to outperform his teammate Oscar Piastri who finished second — despite receiving a 10-second penalty for slowing behind the safety car.

Nico Hulkenberg from Kick Sauber secured third podium after executing a brilliant maneuver past Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile, pole position holder Max Verstappen failed to maintain his position after experiencing a spin.

The race began with a first-lap incident involving Liam Lawson from Racing Bulls and Franco Colapinto from Alpine — both forced to end their race early. Similar fate befell Gabriel Bortoleto from Kick Sauber who also failed to complete the race.
