Lamine Yamal Scores and Assists in Barcelona’s Win Over Espanyol

Lamine Yamal stole the spotlight in Barcelona’s 2-0 victory over Espanyol in the La Liga match at RCDE Stadium — the 17-year-old contributed with a goal and an assist.

The spectacular goal came in the 53rd minute when Yamal cut inside from the right side of the penalty box — his left-footed shot sharply curved into the bottom left corner beyond the reach of the Espanyol goalkeeper.

The move reminded many of the legendary Lionel Messi goal against Almeria in 2013 — but the beautiful moment was marred by unsporting behavior from the home fans who showed a middle finger as Yamal celebrated his goal.
