Lamine Yamal Responds to Critics Ahead of Champions League Semifinal

Confident After Copa del Rey Heroics Against Real Madrid

Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has hit back at critics following his impactful performance in the Copa del Rey final victory over Real Madrid. The 17-year-old delivered two crucial assists in the 3–2 extra-time win and made it clear that external noise does not affect him.

“While I’m winning, they can’t say anything. When they beat me, then they can talk,” Yamal said confidently during a press conference.

Yamal Embraces the Big Stage Ahead of Inter Clash

As Barcelona prepares to face Inter Milan in the Champions League semifinal, Yamal remains unfazed by the pressure of such a high-profile encounter.

“I don’t feel fear — only motivation and butterflies before games. I left fear behind since I played in Mataró park,” he said, referencing his youth football experience.

Injury Updates and Team Morale Ahead of Semifinal

Coach Hansi Flick praised his squad’s mindset heading into the semifinal, saying the recent win over Madrid serves as a morale booster.

However, Barcelona may have to continue without Robert Lewandowski and Alejandro Balde, who remain sidelined due to injuries. Meanwhile, Inter Milan received a boost as Marcus Thuram returned to team training.
