Kyle Larson suffers two fatal crashes at Darlington Raceway

Kyle Larson started from 19th position at Darlington Raceway with a special design car — inspired by Terry Labonte’s 2003 Kellogg’s vehicle that won Best in Show award before the race.

Misfortune struck Larson while battling with Joey Logano for 18th position. His car lost control in Turn 2 — spinning and hitting the inside wall hard causing severe front-end damage.

“So sorry,” Larson radioed in with a dejected tone.

After lengthy repairs in the garage, the Hendrick Motorsports driver returned to the track over 160 laps down. However, trouble struck again when Tyler Reddick hit the wall — causing Larson to brake suddenly and get hit from behind by Bubba Wallace.

This second incident forced the race into overtime and Larson had to settle for 37th place out of 38 entries — only ahead of J.J. Yeley.
