Kyle Busch suffers major crash in wet NASCAR Mexico race

In rare wet track conditions at NASCAR Cup event, a major incident unfolded at Mexico Circuit. Kyle Busch experienced aquaplaning while running in 12th position heading into Turn 1 on lap 6 — resulting in a chain reaction crash involving multiple drivers.

Busch’s out-of-control car collided with vehicles of Justin Haley, Kyle Larson, and A.J. Allmendinger. The incident also drew Chase Briscoe and Zane Smith into the accident.

“In the rain, I went into Turn 11 and braked pretty hard smoothly. Everything felt comfortable and stopped well. I thought I could be more aggressive this time. But as soon as I hit the brakes, it was like being on ice and sliding,” Busch explained after the incident.

Larson spent nearly half the race in garage for repairs, while Busch’s No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet suffered too severe damage — forcing him to finish last (39th). This incident significantly impacted the standings, placing Busch 50 points below playoff cut-line heading into Pocono Raceway.
