Kubo Shows Support for Indonesian National Team After Japan’s Decisive Victory

Takefusa Kubo delivered a supportive message in Spanish for the Indonesian National Team following their 2026 World Cup Qualification match in the Asian zone, which ended in a decisive 0-6 victory for Japan.

Patrick Kluivert’s squad — who had previously recorded 1-0 victories over both Bahrain and China — had to acknowledge the superiority of the Blue Samurai at Suita Stadium.

Japan’s dominance was evident with 71 percent ball possession, while Indonesia managed only 29 percent. Japan’s six goals came through Daichi Kamada’s double, plus one goal each from Takefusa Kubo, Ryoya Morishita, Shuto Machino, and Mao Hosoya.

Indonesian goalkeeper Emil Audero — who stood between the posts — had to pick the ball from his net six times, while the Garuda team failed to score against Hajime Moriyasu’s side.
