The Indonesian women’s singles player — currently ranked 41st in the world — had to fight hard against Malaysian representative Wong Ling Ching, who sits at world number 103.

The match went down to the wire with scores of 21-17, 16-21, 21-17 — where Komang trailed 13-16 and 16-18 in the deciding game before securing victory.
