Kodai Naraoka advances to Japan Open quarterfinals after defeating Lakshya Sen

Kodai Naraoka continues his impressive run at Japan Open 2025 after defeating Indian representative Lakshya Sen at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

The Japanese men’s singles player — who just defeated Anthony Sinisuka Ginting yesterday — won with a score of 21-19, 21-11 in 54 minutes.

Lakshya Sen, ranked 18th in the world, showed early dominance — managing to collect four consecutive points to lead the game.

However, Naraoka managed to turn things around towards the first interval — collecting seven straight points before trailing slightly 10-11 at the break.

After the interval, although Sen briefly pulled away with his attacks — Naraoka finally took control of the game until closing the match with victory.
