Ko Hee-jin arrives in Indonesia for Megawati Hangestri’s wedding ceremony

According to Instagram post by Kim Yoo-sol, former Red Sparks translator, South Korean volleyball coach Ko Hee-jin has arrived in Indonesia to meet her former player Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi.

The meeting took place in Surabaya — attended by Megawati’s husband Dio Novandra Wibawa and her aunt Ayuningtyas Saptarini.

“Can’t believe I’m meeting you (Megawati) in Surabaya with this combination, feels like a dream,” wrote Kim Yoo-sol in the photo caption.

Ko Hee-jin’s visit to Indonesia has a special purpose — attending the ngunduh mantu ceremony as part of Megawati and Dio’s wedding celebrations scheduled for tomorrow in Surabaya. Ngunduh mantu is a Javanese tradition where the bride is welcomed at the groom’s residence after the main wedding ceremony.
