Klinsmann criticizes Mbappe and Vinicius for defensive duties at Real Madrid

According to Marca, Jurgen Klinsmann shared his perspective on Real Madrid’s challenge regarding their two star players — Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior who rarely help in defense.

The former Germany national team coach emphasized that only Lionel Messi deserves an exception from defensive duties.

“A team with Messi is the only one that can defend with 10 players,” stated Klinsmann.

“Real Madrid is trying to make Mbappe and Vinicius track back to defend. Am I confident Xabi can achieve this? No. I agree it will be difficult for Xabi to make them defend more,” he added.

Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid’s coach is expected to face difficulties implementing his tactics — considering both players’ characteristics that focus more on attack.
