Kim Yeon-koung leads Pink Spiders one step away from championship title

Kim Yeon-koung and Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders achieved a dramatic victory in the second match of Korean Volleyball League 2024-2025 finals.

Marcello Abbondanza’s team — playing at their home court — defeated Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks with a score of 3-2 (23-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-12, 15-12) yesterday.

Pink Spiders — who were trailing by two sets — showed championship mentality by bouncing back in the next three sets to secure their second victory in the finals.

Despite Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi posing threats with her sharp attacks for Red Sparks — Pink Spiders maintained their dominance in this final series.

This victory means Pink Spiders need just one more win — in the best of five system — to secure this season’s Korean Volleyball League title.
