Kidambi Srikanth Cruises Past Kuo in Malaysia Masters Qualifier

India’s Kidambi Srikanth delivered a dominant performance to defeat Kuo Kuan Lin of Taiwan in the qualifying round of the Malaysia Masters 2025 at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

The former world number one, now fighting for a spot in the main draw of the BWF Super 500 tournament, secured a convincing victory with scores of 21-8, 21-13.

Although the match started closely, Srikanth quickly took control, capitalizing on the defensive gaps of Kuo, who is currently ranked 86th in the world. The Indian shuttler scored nine consecutive points to lead 11-2 at the first interval.

After the break, Kidambi Srikanth maintained his dominance, leaving his opponent struggling to close the gap until the match ended.
