RRQ Hoshi head coach Alfi “Khezcute” Nelphyana recently confirmed his team isn’t heavily concerned by their recent finals loss and has already shifted focus to preparing for the MSC x EWC 2025 tournament in Saudi Arabia this July.

As background, RRQ finished as runners-up in MPL ID Season 15 after a dramatic loss to Onic ID. This marked Khezcute’s third career runner-up finish as a coach, having previously achieved the same result with both RRQ and Bigetron.

Despite this, the former Dota 2 pro stated he isn’t fixated on this setback. Instead, the team is using their remaining time to gear up for MSC x EWC 2025. Khezcute expressed confidence in refining strategic aspects of their gameplay to deliver a stronger performance against international teams.

He also noted his players accepted their MPL ID S15 finals defeat gracefully and are now enthusiastic about next month’s trip to Saudi Arabia. The coach believes the team gained valuable insights from the loss—particularly regarding draft strategy and handling late-game counters.

RRQ will join Onic ID as MPL ID’s representatives at MSC x EWC 2025. Having missed two major titles this season, the organization is expected to play more aggressively in the upcoming tournament.
