Kevin Durant Officially Becomes PSG Minority Shareholder

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has officially joined Paris Saint-Germain as a minority shareholder through his media company — Boardroom.

Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), PSG’s majority shareholder, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the four-time Olympic gold medalist. Boardroom — founded by Durant with his partner Rich Kleiman — will acquire a direct minority stake in the club.

“It is an honor to partner with QSI and be a shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain — a club and city that is deeply close to my heart,” stated Durant.

The agreement encompasses various commercial and content production initiatives between Boardroom Sports Holdings and QSI. Durant will support the club’s diversification strategy and its development in the United States market.

“Together with Kevin, we look forward to developing ambitious initiatives that will drive the continued global growth of Paris Saint-Germain and QSI,” said PSG president Nasser Al Khelaïfi.

This investment adds to Durant’s sports portfolio, following his previous 5% stake acquisition in MLS club Philadelphia Union.
