According to Ben Jacobs’ report, Kendry Paez — the wonderkid from Ecuador — is experiencing an unfortunate start to his Chelsea career.

The 18-year-old player — who was purchased by Chelsea in June 2023 at age 16 — could only join the club in June 2025 due to transfer regulations.

The Blues excluded Paez from their 28-player list for the 2025 Club World Cup — a decision that left the young player frustrated with changes to his summer plans.

Although Chelsea later invited him to join in the United States, the former Independiente del Valle player again faced obstacles that further complicated his situation.
