Kelra Optimistic About Philippines’ Chances at MSC 2025

Grant “Kelra” Pillas of Onic PH has shared his confidence in the Philippines’ prospects at MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, set to take place next month.

Following an impressive run in the recently concluded MPL PH Season 15, Onic PH captured national attention and emerged as favorites to represent the Philippines at MSC 2025. Despite securing their spot at the prestigious tournament, however, they were one game short from defending their title against rival Team Liquid PH in the grand finale.

Nevertheless, several Onic PH players, including Kelra, seem unfazed by the result. They state the team is now fully focused on preparing for Saudi Arabia. In a post-finals interview, the 20-year-old Filipino player mentioned seeing potential strong competitors from other regions.

Specifically, Kelra highlighted Indonesia (MPL ID) as a particularly strong region this season and a tough opponent for MSC 2025. However, he remains optimistic that either his team or TLPH can lift the trophy.

“I’ve watched Indonesia gameplay It’s not just about their team fights; they also know how to catch up. But I am 100% confident the Philippines will win the MSC 2025.”

Motivated by their performance at MSC 2024, both Onic PH and TLPH are determined to redeem the Philippines’ status as a major force in the global MLBB competitive scene. Recall that the MPL PH representatives at MSC 2024, TLPH and AP.Bren, were defeated by Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants – a team that once underestimated by the global MLBB community.
