Kelra and K1NGKONG Buyout Fees Revealed

Onic PH‘s star duo, Grant “Kelra” Pillas and King “K1NGKONG” Perez—who’ve earned praise from MLBB esports professionals—are now hot targets for teams looking to strengthen their rosters. Acquiring them, however, will likely require a hefty price tag.

During a recent episode of the WolfCasts podcast, Onic PH manager David “Boss A” Gamboa revealed the combined transfer fees paid to sign Kelra and K1NGKONG in February 2024. Kelra was recruited from Omega Esports, while K1NGKONG joined from TNC Pro Team.

Boss A shared that the team spent a total of 8 million PHP (approximately 144,000 USD) to secure both players. The high cost was likely driven by Kelra’s standout performances in MPL PH from 2021 to 2023.

Though initially seen as a risky investment for players without major titles at the time, the duo proved their worth by helping Onic PH dominate both local Filipino and international tournaments. Their success has undoubtedly increased their current market value beyond their original transfer fees.

Looking ahead, the pair could attract interest from top MPL ID teams, which often scout international talent. There’s also speculation that they might eventually join the main Indonesian roster of Onic ID, further solidifying their legacy in the organization.
