Karel Mainaky speaks up about Siti Fadia Silva’s double performance

Indonesia’s women’s doubles head coach, Karel Mainaky shares his views regarding Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti’s decision to compete in two different categories — mixed doubles and women’s doubles.

Since the beginning of this year, Fadia has been partnering with Dejan Ferdinansyah in mixed doubles, while maintaining her partnership with Lanny Tria Mayasari in women’s doubles.

Fadia’s best achievement came at the Thailand Masters a few months ago — winning the women’s doubles title and reaching finals in both categories. However, her performance has declined in subsequent tournaments like the Asian Championships and Indonesia Open.

“Looking at the current condition with both categories, results could be better, but stopping at early rounds might mean focusing on one category,” Karel stated.

While opening the possibility of focusing Fadia on just one category, Karel hasn’t determined which sector will be prioritized.
