Kamada Scores First Brace as Japan Thrashes Indonesia

Daichi Kamada shone brightly in the 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers, netting his first brace for the Japan national team as they cruised to a 6-0 win over Indonesia.

The final Group C match, held at Suita Stadium, saw coach Hajime Moriyasu start Kamada alongside Takefusa Kubo, positioned just behind striker Shuto Machino.

Early goals dismantle Garuda defense

Japan broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, with Kamada scoring a precise header that left Emil Audero, the Indonesian goalkeeper, with no chance.

Only four minutes later, Kubo doubled the lead. Just before halftime, Kamada struck again to complete his brace, making it 3-0 at the break.

Samurai Blue seal group stage in style

The second half saw the Samurai Blue maintain complete control, eventually wrapping up a commanding 6-0 win. The result reaffirms Japan’s top spot in Group C and their strong form heading into the next phase of qualification.
