Kairi Rooting for Geek Fam in MPL ID S15 Grand Final

Following their upper bracket final win this afternoon, Onic ID’s ace Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol named Geek Fam as the opponent he wants to face in the MPL ID Season 15 Grand Final this Sunday (15/06).

The Filipino jungler’s performance helped his team advance after defeating RRQ Hoshi 3-1. Kairi and his teammate Gilang “Sanz” showed incredible synergy to counter RRQ’s aggressive strategies. This victory secured Onic’s spot in both the MPL ID S15 Grand Final and next month’s MSC x EWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia.

Onic now awaits their opponent, which will be decided by tomorrow’s lower bracket final between RRQ and Geek Fam. Kairi especially hopes his compatriot Allen “Baloy” Baloyskie from Geek Fam can win tomorrow, so they can meet in the final and later in the MSC.

“I really want to face Geek Fam again. Because Baloy is (a fellow) Filipino,” Kairi stated in the MPL ID post-match interview.

Should they meet on Sunday, it will be a rematch of Season 12 in 2023, the time when Geek Fam reached their first MPL ID Grand Final and represented Indonesia alongside Onic ID at the M5 World Championship in the Philippines.

Tomorrow’s lower bracket final is expected to be intense, as both RRQ and Geek Fam feature players with similar playstyles.

On top of that, their best-of-seven match will be mentally and physically demanding.
