Kairi Backs MPL PH as Top Region at EWC 2025

Onic ID star Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol has flagged the MPL Philippines as a region to watch for the upcoming MSC x EWC 2025 tournament in Saudi Arabia next month.

Following their recent MPL ID Season 15 finals victory, the Filipino jungler stated his team is ready to face opponents from around the world and feels no pressure heading into the competition. He added that their confidence is boosted by head coach Paul “Yeb” Denver, who extends his stay with the team until next month.

However, Kairi highlighted the threat from MPL PH, represented by sister team Onic PH and Team Liquid PH. He believes the Philippines remains the strongest and favorite region for EWC 2025.

“The strongest region? I think it’s only the Philippines,” he stated bluntly.

As a Filipino player who regularly talks with friends on Onic PH and TLPH, Kairi’s prediction might seem biased to Indonesian fans. Still, both teams’ performance stats in the current MPL PH season do show they outperform squads from other regions.

Yet, Kairi remains optimistic that Onic ID can reclaim the MSC championship this season. The Yellow Porcupine last won it in 2023 after defeating the Filipino powerhouse, Blacklist International.
