Kagendra and Dominator Drop to Lower Bracket at KWC 2025 Day One

Indonesia’s KWC 2025 representatives, Kagendra and Dominator, have dropped to the lower bracket after losing their opening matches today.

Kagendra, the Indonesian Kings League Spring 2025 champions, delivered a disappointing performance against Malaysia’s staple Black Shrew Esports. They struggled throughout both games, lasting only 27 minutes total.

Game 1 was off to a fiery start. Kagendra started strong with an aggressive draft, matching BSE well into the mid-game. However, their strategy collapsed late when BSE’s duo, Chan “MusangKing” Tat Yann and Ryan “JR” Jie Rong, secured crucial objectives. This gave BSE a lane advantage by minute 17, winning the game 12-7.

Game 2 was completely dominated by BSE. They played efficiently, giving Kagendra no breathing room. BSE closed out the game in just 10 minutes without conceding a single kill and finished 7-0.

On the other side, Dominator, another strong contender from IKL Spring 2025, suffered a close 1-2 defeat against Indonesian rival Bigetron by Vitality. After losing the first game, Dominator quickly bounced back to win the second. They nearly swept the third game too, but a crucial team fight loss at minute 22 sealed their defeat.

Both teams now move to the lower bracket. Dominator faces Brazil’s Loops tomorrow (July 17) at 22:00 WIB and Kagendra plays the loser of Nova vs. Twisted Minds on Friday (July 18).
