Justin Hoh is set to represent Malaysia at the 2025 Asian Championships, stepping in to replace Lee Zii Jia, who has withdrawn from the tournament.

The continental event will be held at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium in China, running from April 8–13. At just 21 years old, Justin Hoh will compete in Group A of the qualification round.

His group includes:

  • Jewel Angelo Albo (Philippines)

  • Amirhossein Hassani (Iran)

Only one player from each group will advance to the main draw of 32.

Adding more intrigue, Kenneth Jonassen — Singles Coaching Director at BAM (Badminton Association of Malaysia) and former Danish player — is expected to closely monitor Hoh’s performance in this key tournament.
