Justin HohMalaysia‘s men’s singles player replacing Lee Zii Jia — has advanced to the main draw of the 2025 Asian Championships after winning two qualification matches at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium, China.

The 21-year-old showed dominance in Group A qualification — defeating Iranian player Ammirhossein Hasani with a decisive score of 21-6, 21-14 in 29 minutes.

Three hours later, Justin Hoh returned to court against Filipino shuttler Jewel Angelo Albo — securing his main draw ticket through a 21-14, 21-6 victory in 35 minutes.

Justin Hoh‘s qualification to the main draw will add competition in the same section as Indonesian representative Jonatan Christie.

As a rising talent in Malaysian badminton, Justin Hoh—has been viewed as a potential future star, especially after stepping in to replace Lee Zii Jia, one of Malaysia’s top players.
