Jude Bellingham to Undergo Shoulder Surgery, Out Until October

According to ESPN, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham will undergo left shoulder surgery in London this Wednesday.

The 22-year-old has been dealing with a recurring shoulder injury since his first season in Madrid — a dislocation that occurred during a match against Rayo Vallecano about 1.5 years ago.

“I’ll have surgery after this tournament. I’m tired of playing with a brace, especially in the heat. It’ll be nice to have my old shoulder back,” said Bellingham after the 3–1 win over Pachuca.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is expected to be sidelined until early October, potentially missing up to eight La Liga matches and the start of the Champions League group stage.

Last season, Bellingham registered 15 goals and 15 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos.
